Join me for computer training in the Eberly Center’s lab running the newest PC operating system Windows 10. Whether you are a true beginner or are building your skills, our courses will provide up-to date information. All classes are taught in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. We always make learning FUN.

Microsoft PowerPoint – Introduction
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 PM / November 29 & December 6, 2017 (2 sessions) – $20

Create animated slideshows for personal entertainment, school and business applications. This software is also an easy way to enhance presentations, lectures and speeches. Your finished production is a wonderful addition to any event, website, reception or memorial.  No special equipment is need to display your work of art. Be surprised how you can look professional will little effort. Basic computer skills are required.

Basic Computer Skills
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 PM / January 31 & February 7, 2018 (2 sessions) – $20

Our goal is to give you a solid foundation using a friendly hands-on method to introduce the basic skills that you will need to develop in order to become comfortable with accessing and using computer programs. We will concentrate on the skills that will apply to many commonly used software. Topics to be covered include: Understanding Hardware, Windows Operating System Basics, the Internet, and working with text including cut/copy/paste. Once you have understood these basics, you will have a clear understanding on which to build your future knowledge of and skill with computers.

Absolutely no computer experience is required!

 


Microsoft Word – Introduction
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 PM / February 14 – 28, (No class March 7) March 14, 2018 (4 sessions) – $40

Microsoft Word is one of the world’s most popular software applications. This course will quickly and easily teach you indispensable skills to create, edit, and perfect documents so that you can excel when using this software. You will be guided through functions of the Word interface including the Backstage view, the Ribbon, formatting text and saving your document in various locations including attaching to email. The tools included in Word are remarkable. Come be amazed. Basic computer skills are required.

 


 

Microsoft Excel – Introduction
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 PM / March 21 – April 11, 2018, 2018 (4 sessions) – $40

Learn MS Excel by creating a budget plus a database of sort-able information. We will build experience tracking spending, maintaining lists of data and automatically calculating lists of figures. Simple formulas are used through hands-on practice. This software is a staple in the personal and business world. I will show you how to use a spreadsheet to simplify your life and become more organized. Basic computer skills are required.
